Volunteer Opportunities: Gallery Docent
Be part of the EAA community by volunteering as a Gallery Docent!
Docents welcome visitors, answer basic questions, and help create a friendly atmosphere in the gallery.
You can even bring your own art to work on while you’re here.
Shifts available Wednesday–Saturday:
Morning: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

How to Reserve a Docent Shift (Square)
Follow these quick steps to book your Docent – Volunteer Shift (3 hrs). Read the instructions below ⬇️
1. Choose the service
On the Services page,
click Docent – Volunteer Shift (3 hrs) to open it.
2. Add it to your appointment
Click Add (big blue button).
You’ll see it appear in the Appointment summary on the right.
Click Next.
3. Pick your date & time
Use the left/right arrows (a) at the top to move through the calendar.
Click a date (b):
Black = available. Gray = no availability
Available time slots show below (c). Click the shift you want (e.g., 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM).
4. Fill in your contact info
Enter Phone, First name, Last name, and Email.
Tip: The page may show “Appointment held for X:XX” — finish within that time so you don’t lose the slot.
5. (Optional) Marketing texts
The checkbox “Text me marketing and loyalty offers…” is optional and not required to book.
You’ll still receive booking confirmations/reminders without opting in.
6. (Optional but recommended) Add an Appointment note
Click Add next to Appointment note.
In the pop-up, type your note and click Add to save.
New docents: please write “New Docent” and any questions, or access needs.
7. Book the appointment
Review the Appointment summary (correct date/time).
Click Book appointment.
You’ll see a confirmation screen and get a confirmation email.
Automated reminders will follow (e.g., email ~3 days prior and a text closer to the date).
8. Change or cancel (if needed)
Use the Manage/Cancel link in your confirmation email, or contact the gallery.
Please do so before the cutoff shown on the page (the “Cancel before …” notice).
